Dubai Women's College holds 'World of Work' conference

Dubai Women's College (DWC) held yesterday a 'World of Work' conference focusing on the benefits of work experience, summer employment, and part-time employment-Emirati role models.
'World of Work' conference aims at exposing DWC's students to the opportunities and realities of the workplace and allows them to be well-prepared when they start their careers. It is also a valuable opportunity for employers interested in recruiting Emirati employees.
This year's conference was hosted by Moaza Al Serkal - Senior Careers Counselor at Tanmia who discussed National Employment Opportunities and Challenges. Fatma Al Haddad, Acting Emiratization Manager at Al Futtaim, shared with attendees ideas on how to enrich their Lives with knowledge. Attendees got the chance to also listen to Iman Alkatsha, HR Manager at Abela & Co (LLC) who talked about maximizing one's potential.
Representatives from joined Body Shop, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Hyatt International Hotels & Resorts, Accor Middle East, Dubai Transport, and Mashreq Bank participated in lively panel discussions addressing obstacles and challenges facing the local employment industry.
During afternoon panels, participating companies discussed employment opportunities within their organisations; their expectations of DWC's Diploma graduates and answered students' questions. The conference was sponsored by Al Futtaim, Tanmia, and Abela & Co (LLC).
