Interiors UAE is a brand new event set up to meet the ever-growing demand of the interiors market within the United Arab Emirates. Taking place in the stunning, newly built Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the event is set to deliver in true Emirates style.

The press conference announcing the launch of the event was addressed by Ahmed Humaid Al Mazrouie, Managing Director, ADNEC, Andy Braid, Group Director, CMP Information and Justin Boutros, Managing Director, Channels Exhibitions. Also present at the occasion were Marie Taylor, PR & Promotions Manager, CMP Information and Cathy Oates, Director-Events, CMP Information.

Specifically aimed at the contract and retail markets, Interiors UAE offers a phenomenal platform for interior and exterior furnishing companies to showcase their products to a market that is rapidly expanding. The 2008 interiors market is expected to exceed a staggering US$2.7 billion with Abu Dhabi fast becoming a commercial hub for the region, connecting East with West. Technological advancements have produced a highly integrated communications and transportation infrastructure. This scale of development will see Abu Dhabi transform into a leading Emirates for investment, commerce and tourism.

Increasing numbers of businesses and corporations are realising the benefits of being involved in the city and taking advantage of its free trade environment. With a heavy demand on imported furniture and vast development plans in place, Interiors UAE is the perfect opportunity for exhibitors to benefit from extending into an emerging market.

The launch plans are well under way with a targeted contract and retail exhibitor base of 250 - 300 clients, made up of 30% domestic and 70% international, taking 9,000 net square metres of exhibition space. 8,000 - 10,000 local and international visitors are expected from a full spectrum of profiles including retailers, contract buyers, architects, specifiers, interior designers, the public sector and local authorities.
