Oki Open Day a 'blistering' success

The company, the global colour printing solutions leader, opened its doors to resellers and small to medium business customers alike with displays of advanced colour systems and solutions at the Bur Juman Rotana Hotel on the 22nd May 2007.

"We're delighted with the responses we got from the many customers and potential customers we met, along with the resellers we also talked to," said John Ross, general manager of Oki Printing Solutions Middle East. "The response from customers was particularly strong, with many telling us that they are now planning to swap out mono laser-based printers with colour solutions."

By bringing colour printing in-house, small to medium businesses can cut the cost of small print jobs such as business cards, leaflets, posters and banners, increasing response time and opening up a range of quick-response promotional possibilities. Oki's solutions also drive down the cost of colour, according to the company, with products that lead the market in terms of functionality and value.

Oki's LED-based printers are particularly effective as replacements for the ink-jet units that so many small businesses buy because the printer engines appear to be inexpensive, said Ross: "We also met a lot of people at the Open Day who were wasting money on ink-jet printers that they simply hadn't expected to cost quite so much on a day to day basis and we were able to show that, with an average consumption of a new set of cartridges a month, these printers are costing up to an over Dhs 2,000 a year each. So in a business that's using four or five ink-jet printers, you can buy and pay for a faster, smarter and more versatile Oki in under a year!"
