Al Tayer heads UAE business delegates in Samsung HQ visit

H.E. Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Head of the UAE business delegation accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his official visit to South Korea, recently visited the headquarters of Samsung Company in Seoul accompanied by the UAE businessmen.

The visit aimed at learning about the activities and successful achievements of Samsung Company whose products have widely spread all over the world, as well as discussing the potential transfer of the Korean technology to the UAE, and Dubai in particular.

The UAE delegation was received by Samsung Vice President for Telecommunication and IT Development who welcomed them and presented a documentary film that tells the success story of Samsung Company and its quality products and effective marketing plans which highly attributed to the development of the Korean technology sector, and the spread of its high quality products in the world.

The Chairman of Dubai Chamber and his accompanied UAE business delegation to Korea were impressed with the developing technology sector in Korea and the high quality products of electronics and other technical equipment which are successfully competing with its Japanese, European and American counterparts.

'The UAE business delegation to Korea was much interested to pay a visit to the famed Samsung Company because it offers a good opportunity for the UAE business community to be widely introduced to the features of the Korean technical development, and to discuss the possibility of transferring the Korean technology to help improve the same sector in the UAE,'



said Al Tayer.

Al Tayer pointed out that the UAE businessmen's visit to Samsung paves the way to open new channels of technological cooperation between Korea and the UAE. He briefed the Korean officials in Samsung about the available investment opportunities in the UAE, mainly in the technological sector which is interested in benefiting from the Koreans.

He highlighted the outstanding activities of some major Korean companies that are currently operating in different sectors in Dubai such as Samsung which leads a consortium of companies that are now building Burj Dubai, which will be the world's tallest tower, in addition to the wide spread existence of the Korean products in the UAE markets.

The UAE business delegation toured the premises of Samsung Company where they were introduced to the latest and state-of-the-art Korean technological and electronic products, as well as the researches carried out by a qualified team of Samsung technical experts who work hard to produce revolutionary items that will soon find its way to the world markets.

The UAE business delegation's tour in Samsung Company concluded with Al Tayer signing the guests' book of honor where he thanked the Korean officials for giving the UAE businessmen the chance to visit Samsung Company premises and be introduced to the latest Korean technical products which he assured would find a good place in the UAE markets.
