- PRESS RELEASE
As part of their ongoing initiatives to reviving and beautifying the older districts of Eastern Amman, both National Paints and the Greater Amman Municipality recently announced the successful completion of the first stage of their joint renovation campaign.
The first stage of this initiative included the repainting of buildings located in the Ras Al Ain, Jabal Al-Qal'a, and areas surrounding the Roman Amphitheater. As part of its contribution to this initiative, National Paints donated JD 100,000 worth of paint products, and has re-painted over. (70 Thousand sqm)
National Paints' contributions to this national campaign stemmed directly from its firm belief in the importance of advocating Jordan's economic development and especially the development of its social scene.
Throughout the first phase of this campaign, National Paints supervised the painting process of homes, whereby teams from National Paints and Greater Amman Municipality applied earth toned colors in the pre-assigned areas of the project. Also volunteering in the painting, a group of students from Jordanian universities took part in the implementation of this project.
Commenting on National Paints' contribution to the re-painting campaign, Mr. Michael Sayegh, Chairman of the Board of Al-Sayegh Group said," We are joining forces with the Greater Amman Municipality as part of our ongoing endeavor to play a pivotal role in Jordan's journey towards further development, and to further solidify our support for a fruitful partnership between public and private sectors. This campaign is part of our aims to support our community. In the past we had contributed to several activities held in cooperation with different national organizations namely King Hussein Medical Center for Cancer wherein we used environmental friendly paints, and in line with our responsibility towards our surrounding environment, we have implemented the first stage of this project using the same paint products and this is a strategy we will be adopting for all our future endeavors".
Mr. Sayegh further stated National Paints' pride in working with the municipality "The Greater Amman Municipality launched this project as part of its aim to create a more esthetically pleasing look and feel for the capital city. The ultimate goal is to renovate and re-paint homes in eastern Amman without depriving it of its authentic feel, and National Paints used its expertise in the industrial and painting field to achieve this goal."
"We are proud to be working with the Greater Amman Municipality on this project, for we have the highest level of admiration for the Municipality's initiatives to secure a better quality of life for the city's residents. Amman enjoys a central geographical location, and with this location comes a responsibility thrown upon the shoulders of its residents to make it beautiful. The city should be seen as a center rich with cultural heritage, unique and beautiful in both in the eyes of its people and its visitors as this is the desire of His Majesty King Abdullah the Second. In this regard, we feel that the Municipality is fulfilling its role as a leading promoter of culture, preserver of heritage, and as an implementer of quality projects. With GAM's impressive track record, we can only say that we are honored to be working by its side."
