UAE Higher Colleges of Technology launch sponsorship appeal to support conference

The Higher Colleges of Technology have launched an appeal for sponsorship support for the prestigious international e-ducation Without Borders Conference that will be held in February 2003 under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Keynote speakers at this second biennial event held from 22-24 February includes:
Dr Edward de Bono, widely regarded as the world's leading authority on constructive thinking; NASA astronaut and physician Dr Bernard Harris and Ms Liz Mohn, Supervisory Board member of Bertelsmann AG.
Dr Kamali stated: "The future of the world depends on our global relationships and the education of today's young people, both of which are the themes of our conference. We believe that the long-standing global connections for today's businesses will have much greater potential because of the ongoing links resulting from e-ducation Without Borders.
"This conference is all about how the students of today can harness the power of information technology and develop the necessary skills for lifelong learning."
The organizing committee for the conference has developed a sponsorship pack that is now being distributed to companies and organizations throughout the UAE offering different levels of support. Opportunities to become a partner for the conference range from Platinum sponsor level through Gold, Silver and Bronze to Associate Sponsor.
Benefits to sponsors include naming rights to awards at the conference, use of their logos on promotional literature and materials, attendance at the opening event, gala dinner and the conference itself.
A number of major organizations have already showed their interest and support in sponsoring the event and details of these companies will be announced shortly.
An opening address at the conference will be made by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology.
Students attending the conference have the opportunity not just to listen and learn but to make their own presentations to their peers on the widest range of issues and then have their papers judged by a distinguished panel of international experts.
The three-day conference will be held in the Federal National Council building in Abu Dhabi and will include a spectacular opening ceremony and gala dinner for participants on 22 February. A number of special awards will be presented to students judged to have presented outstanding papers during the conference and will be presented by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan.
