Salem Al Owais is reassigned as Chairman of the Municipal Councils Authority

The meeting was attended by members of the head councilors of the cities and regions of Sharjah.

According to Constituent Number 98 of the Sharjah Municipal Council Law, the elections were held to elect the Chairman of the Municipal Council Authority and Vice President, and H.E. Salem Al Owais has been reelected as the Chairman of the Municipal Councils Authority of Sharjah. H.E Doctor Mohammed Al Sahi was also elected as Vice President of the Municipal Councils Authority of Sharjah.

As the senior, the meeting was chaired by H.E. Abd Allah Hamid, Head President of the Municipal Council of Daba Alhesn - a regulation according to the laws of the Municipal Councils of the Emirate of Sharjah. H.E. Thabit Salem Alturaifi handled the secretary position of the Municipal Councils of Sharjah.

H.E Salem Al Owais began his speech by expressing his gratitude to everyone present and to H.E. Sheikh Doctor Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for expressing their confidence in his abilities. He also expressed his appreciation for H.H. Crown Prince Sheikh Sultan Ben Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head President of the Executive Council of Sharjah, for his care and supervision of their services to their country and its citizens.

H.E Al Owais thanked all the members of the council for showing their confidence in his abilities by reelecting him as Chairman for the Council. Due to the support of H.H. Sheikh Doctor Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qasimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and the supervision of H.H. Crown Prince Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head President of the Executive Council of Sharjah, Al Owais assured the council of his unending efforts to improve services in all areas in Sharjah, to implement the role of councils in preserving society, and to make the right decisions for the sake of the community.

The council reviewed all the topics in the council's work schedule, especially the working mechanism of the Municipal Councils during the second round. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the best ways to enable the Municipalities in Sharjah to achieve their missions. They also discussed the legislative replenish in the public health field, the maintenance of the environmental system, and the implementation stages of the projects in the other Municipalities of Sharjah.
