Showtime blasts piracy

Governments in the Gulf have been urged to crack down on the availability of unregistered cable and satellite TV, reported Arab News. Greg Sweeting, Showtime Arabia's VP for Legal and Business Affairs, said a number of consumers across the region have free access to subscription channels and he stressed the importance of the protection of intellectual property rights and the eradication of media piracy.
