The forum will bring together experts from Europe, Australia and the United States of America to help foster collaboration and exchange expertise amongst researchers in the ICT sector. The ICT Research Forum is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The event is hosted by the Etisalat University College (EUC) and co-organized by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the EUC.
The main theme of the conference is to discuss actions required to progress technology research in the UAE. Speakers will address many issues to this regard, including the launch of the ICT Development Fund.
The ICT Development Fund is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The Fund is committed to financing and nurturing projects related to research, such as research projects and R&D centers; education, such as education institutions and student scholarships; and entrepreneurial organizations, such as business incubators.
The conference takes place at the Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi on Sunday May 27.
ICT Research Forum to commence Sunday
The UAE's second ICT Research Forum will take place on Sunday, May 27 at the Beach Rotana hotel in Abu Dhabi.
