Oman Air offers online booking discounts

Effective Saturday 19 May 2007, all bookings made via Oman Air website booking engine, will be eligible for an immediate 5 per cent discount off the applicable fare.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Abdulrazaq Bin Juma Al Raisi, Acting Divisional Manger Commercial said, an E-ticket (or "electronic ticket") is a paper-less ticket. Instead of receiving a physical ticket, a confirmation number is sent to you via email to be used at the airport check-in with your photo ID (such as ID Card or passport) to receive your boarding pass. Using an E-ticket is very simple and completely secure. E-tickets have many benefits. You cannot lose an E-ticket since your ticket is your confirmation number and photo identification. In the event that you forget the confirmation number, the flight number or your name will do the job.

Mr. Al Raisi added, Book online is the easiest way to reserve and purchase tickets by using our online booking engine. We believe it is one of the most advanced booking engines in the world and handles thousands of bookings a year. Our online booking engine allows bookings 24 hours a day and seven days a week. You can book for a maximum of 330 days in advance from flight departure date, and the minimum time required is 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.

Our booking engine can be accessed to check the availability of seats, applicable fares, alternative flights, choosing the preferred seat, book and pay for the ticket, print the itinerary, etc. A confirmation will be e-mailed to your e-mail address provided, and you can then access the booking through the e-mail link provided. Normal market fares are offered on online booking. Special Online booking fares may be available from time to time. The booking engine searches the availability of a seat at the lowest fare on the requested date & time and displays it. Conditions / rules attached to the fare display appropriately, before confirming your purchase. If you so wish, you can override this feature to get a lowest fare tickets on any other day, by simply selecting the "Lowest fare" option within the flight request page.

Oman Air is in the process of introducing this service in all Oman Air stations, once the airport authorities at the company's destinations upgrade their systems to initiate this service.
