The list comprises 15 of the most reputed business establishments in the country, three of which will be sponsoring DSS for the first time.

The list of sponsors included Al Futtaim Group - Dubai Festival City, BurJuman, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Refreshments (P.S.C.) - Mirinda, Dubai Shopping Malls Group, Dubai World Trade Centre, Emarat, Emirates Airline, Etisalat, Ibn Battuta Mall, MAF Shopping Malls, and MasterCard Worldwide. Al Ghurair City, Alpha Tours and Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) are the three new sponsors for this year.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation; Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group; and Chairman of DSF & DSS Supreme Committee, praised the response of the private sector in general and the DSS 2007 sponsors in particular towards the summer event since its inception. "The continuous support of the private sector has been pivotal in making Dubai summer surprises the most anticipated summer event in the region, and it clearly affirms the commitment of the private sector in realising the objectives of DSS that are congruent with the long term economic and social plans for Dubai as announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai" HH said.

HH welcomed the joining of three new sponsors and said "The DSS sponsors include some of the biggest and most successful business organisations in the country and the region today. Their sponsorship of DSS denotes a level of unprecedented cooperation between the private and public sectors that has substantially contributed to the transformation of this summer celebration from a regional event into a global spectacle. Such cooperation is fundamental as we are in the process of implementing significant changes in the coming editions to elevate the summer event."

As the summer fiesta marks its 10th year, HH commented "When DSS was launched in 1998 under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid; the ambition was to give life to an event similar to Dubai Shopping Festival that would facilitate growth in different economic sectors in Dubai, especially the tourism sector, during the summer. The tenth anniversary celebration of DSS is a momentous occasion as we look back at a full decade of stupendous achievements. DSF and DSS has turned Dubai into an all year city of celebrations "

"The tenth edition of DSS ushers in a new era where the new strategy will be pursued earnestly, and we firmly believe that this initiative will renovate the event to go parallel with the massive developments being witnessed in Dubai. We are committed in developing DSS, and this development is initially reflected - the ten surprises will be launched simultaneously and last for ten weeks; events will be planned to cater to children, teenagers, and adults; and the DSS Office will be fully responsible for the planning, organizing, and implementation of all DSS events."

"Even though we have completed a successful decade, our aspirations are high and hence we are devoted to achieving the goals outlined in the new strategy that will go parallel with the dynamic plan envisioned for Dubai and the widespread developments in the country under the vision of UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; and their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates." HH concluded
