Organised by Moutamarat under the official patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the IDF will be held from 27-29 May at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Tatweer, said: 'The aim of this announcement is to highlight our efforts-in association with our partners-to make Dubai a design hub. It will also detail how this is achieved by establishing one major platform with the world's most recognised design figures.'
Exhibitors in this year's IDF will include the American University of Sharjah (AUS); the Architectural Association of the UAE (AAUAE); Boeing; Dubai Municipality; Red Dot; Tatweer; Omniyat; and Sharjah Biennial. In addition the IDF will feature new media artist Michael Najjar's exhibition, netropolis.
Moutamarat also counts among its supporters a number of media partners including Alef, the first indigenous, world class Middle East fashion and lifestyle magazine; brownbook, a regional lifestyle magazine on the latest trends in the Middle East; Canvas, an internationally acclaimed bi-monthly magazine dedicated to art and culture in the Middle East; Metropolis, a US-based publication now in its 26th year, which continues to lead the industry in sophisticated design coverage and advocacy of sustainable, collaborative design; and TIME magazine, which since 1923 has been the unequivocal leader among business news magazines.
