MTC cool on Celtel sale

Kuwait's MTC has distanced itself from reports that a Saudi investor is set to acquire a 25% stake in its Celtel unit, which offers mobile services in Africa, according to Reuters. The local Al Seyassah newspaper claimed a deal was close and could be worth $2bn. MTC only completed a 100% acquisition of Celtel earlier this month.
