Organized by Moutamarat, a joint venture between Tatweer and Saudi Research and Publishing Company, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the IDF will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah from 27-29 May.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Tatweer, said:

The industry-focused event will turn the spotlight on contemporary design innovations in the Arab world and abroad. It will host a special session to discuss design challenges and to promote creativity in the Arab world.
While 30 per cent of the participants hail from the region, over half of them are designers and VIPs from around the world. Other major categories of participants from around the globe include approximately: 100 specialized media professionals, 60 government decision-makers and 40 people from the research and educational fraternity.

Using an innovative format set to stimulate thinking and knowledge exchange in the field of design, the Forum's sessions will be informative, lively and have challenging discussions on the different connotations of design and its interaction with other disciplines. Installations and other designers' lounges will celebrate the power of design, while high-level debates and new knowledge products will offer a novel learning experience.
