The event includes various activities, starting with the Italian ski challenge sponsored by the Piedmont Region where the magnificent Italian Demo Team Skiers will demonstrate their skills at Ski Dubai slopes. More cultural activities will follow such as the Italian Film Festival, and concerts of the 'Magna Grecia' Orchestra that, with its 40 professors, will bring the soul of Italy into UAE. In collaboration with the IICUAE Office, during this event a silver plate from the Presidency of the Italian Republic, will be awarded to the best Italian entrepreneur in UAE for the year 2006.
Mr. Piero Ricotti; President of the Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the UAE, welcomed the press and said, 'It's our pleasure to launch the 'Italian Festival Week' for the first time in the UAE. This marvelous event is the first initiative of this kind in the Gulf Region and will be repeated on an annual basis'.
Ms. Gemma Knowles Manager of San Sicario Gruppo Norman, said that 'San Sicario; one of the most charming Italian ski resorts, located in the Alps Mountains, is gladly participating as a sponsor for the mountain region of Piedmont in Northern Italy, at the Italian Ski Event in Dubai. Our sponsorship at this event will include a prize for two lucky winners to spend a week at the resort during the 2007/2008 winter season'.
At the end Mr. Ricotti thanked everyone and hoped that every attendee of the various events will find source of inspiration and enjoyment in this event 'that brings a piece of Italy to Dubai' as he said.

The Italian Industry and Commerce Office in the UAE - IICUAE - launched the 'Italian Festival Week', a cultural, sports and business event scheduled to commence on May 25th till June 3rd 2007, under the Patronage of the Italian Ministry of International Trade and the Italian Embassy in the UAE.
