Feras Al Jabi, General Manager of ITQAN said that the Airport Show 2007 to be held May 28-30 at the Airport Expo is a key knowledge-sharing platform for the aviation industry and a good opportunity for ITQAN and INDRA to showcase their solutions before a high-profile gathering of industry executives.
Federico Rueda Laorge, INDRA's International Aviation Transport Management (ATM) Program Director will address the Air Traffic Control Middle East Conference to be held in parallel with the Airport Expo.
In his presentation on May 29 titled 'Pathway for European Single Sky', Laorge will focus on the collaborative approach by Automatic Throttle System (ATS) providers in developing a common, next-generation Flight Data Processor (FDP) system. The system will provide flexible use of airspace in an automatic interoperable manner.
According to a report by the organizers of the Airport Show 2007, the region's spending on airport development has touched US $45 billion. The UAE has several airport development projects underway such as Dubai World Central Airport in Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi International Airport Expansion as well as other projects in the Northern Emirates.
'Implementing these projects to global standards requires strong infrastructure and high-end technologies. Along with our international partners such as INDRA, we are committed to delivering world class systems and services to the region's aviation market', said Al Jabi.
Noting that the UAE was a gateway to the Middle East, INDRA's Laorge said that it was therefore critical for INDRA to enhance their understanding of the UAE market. He also stated that the company's participation with ITQAN at the Airport Show, marked the third time both companies were jointly participating at an industry forum since the signing of their partnership agreement earlier this year.
Expressing his satisfaction at the evolving relationship between ITQAN and INDRA, Laorge said that the company had undertaken a rigorous evaluation before partnering with ITQAN.
'ITQAN is an expert in the IT field and thanks to our partnership with ITQAN, INDRA is confident of making tremendous progress in the UAE market with our new applications' said Laorge.
