Following the end of the 2006/07 season, with the Premier League trophy now in the hands of Manchester United, SHOWTIME has now become the sole and exclusive owner of the broadcast rights of all Premier League matches for the next three seasons in the Middle East and North Africa.

SHOWTIME became the owner of these rights when it successfully won the tender process in November 2006.

'SHOWTIME's coverage of the world's most popular football league will feature live and exclusive broadcast of all 380 matches per season and studio coverage in both Arabic and English commentary. No other broadcaster will be able to offer the live broadcast that we will deliver,' says Marc-Antoine d' Halluin CEO of SHOWTIME. 'Attempts by other broadcasters pretending they have the English Premier League through delayed club broadcasts, will be viewed by football fans as an obvious misrepresentation.'

The company is currently constructing state-of the-art studios in Dubai to accommodate more than 500 hours of live studio coverage and 760 hours of live match broadcasting per season. SHOWTIME has already started to attract the best team of football journalists who are ready to set new standards in the making of sport's greatest television show.

To enjoy the best football coverage the region has ever seen, ART and Supersport viewers will need to become SHOWTIME customers. Live Premier League matches will only be available in SHOWTIME subscription packages, which also bring you the best and most recent movies and series programming. With its new Family package, customers can watch the Premier League and a large selection of SHOWTIME's leading entertainment channels.
