Ten Sports, Intelsat deal

Ten Sports has signed a new multi-year deal with global satellite provider Intelsat and, in so doing, has increased its transponder capacity by 50%. Ten Sports had previously leased 18 MHz on Intelsat's IS-10, but the channel now has 27 MHz on the same satellite. Chris McDonald, CEO of Taj TV/Ten Sports, said the extra capacity will enable it to launch additional channels to its audiences from Australia to the UK.
