MiGS will enable Emirates to conduct safe and secure online transactions for a variety of payment types, including all global brands of credit cards. As well as providing a single payments interface for multiple payment instruments, MiGS handles multi-currency processing, supports multi-country operations and includes fraud protection mechanisms.
MiGS will reduce processing complexity while providing Emirates with a payment solution in several markets. The MiGS platform will be applied to Emirates' core airline online ticketing services for India as well as to other streams of business, such as the Emirates Hotels and Resorts. All transactions, irrespective of the credit card type used, will be processed through the MasterCard network.
