The group consisted of department heads of administration and technology, and by completing the program designed by the Academy, will contribute to the development and growth of these departments in the company in Kabul.
Present at the ceremony and distribution of the certificates was Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager, Etisalat Academy, as well as a number of executives from Etisalat, Etisalat Services, and trainers from the Academy.
The program lasted 3 months and focused on competencies and systems in the areas of Management, marketing and sales, customer care, information technology, financial accounting, and technical sessions on communication technology, networks, messaging, data, and Next Generation Networks. This program was in preparation for the imminent launch of Etisalat Afghanistan's services. Etisalat has invested more than $300 million to develop the network in the country.
Preparations are already underway to receive the second batch of employees from Afghanistan, to further develop their abilities and leadership. The Academy will upgrade their skills in line with the requirements and also train them to deal with various challenges and difficulties- practical and operational- effectively and efficiently. The program will focus on best practices, mechanisms and tools that will support the management in their decision-making process.
Dr. Doaa Fares said: 'We are proud of our market leading training programs that contribute to the training and development of professionals operating in various business sectors locally and regionally, especially in the field of telecommunications. Alongside the training of Etisalat Afghanistan staff, we are also holding a specialized training program for 800 Etisalat Misr employees.'
This comes within the framework of Etisalat Academy's strategic training plan for 2007, which aims to develop and train professionals of several Government and private sectors organizations locally and regionally, as well as run programs specifically designed for Etisalat and its international operations such as Saudi Arabia's Mobily, Sudan's Canar, Pakistan's PTCL, and Egypt's Etisalat Misr.
Etisalat Academy celebrates graduation of first batch of Etisalat Afghanistan staff
Etisalat Academy recently celebrated the graduation of the first batch of 23 employees from Etisalat Afghanistan.
