Another credit to Dubai's as a world class city, is the arrival of this first ever signed special edition in Corvette's 54-year history, that has already raised high expectations as a highly desired collector's item.

Canadian Ron Fellows marked his championship tenure with Corvette Racing's GT1-class domination in the American Le mans (ALMS), and is a Corvette racing living legend.

With only 399 of this limited edition Corvette set to be produced, the Ron Fellows ALMS GT1 Championship Corvette Z06 boasts unique exterior and one-off interior embellishments, and is expected to reach Al Yousuf Motors showrooms in the UAE in June.

David Venticich - Marketing and Planning Director at GM Middle East said: "Getting this exclusive vehicle to Dubai goes to show yet again the Emirate's status as a world beater. The culture of superlatives is not a stranger to Dubai, and we at General Motors, and our partners at Al Yousuf Motors are proud to contribute to it in the form of such an iconic vehicle as the Limited Edition Ron Fellows Corvette Z06."

Finished in Arctic White paint and accented with a racing-style fender stripe and Ron Fellows' autograph, this limited edition Corvette is true to Corvette's rich racing heritage. The front fender graphics are reminiscent of the identifying graphics of the Corvette GT1 race car. They feature double Monterey Red Metallic stripes with Machine Silver borders and Fellows' autograph in a contrasting Victory Red shade.

Powered by a 7.0 litre V8, the Ron Fellows Corvette Z06 infuses even more oomph, verve and charisma to what is already a legend. With 505 hp on tap - the most of any production Corvette in history - along with 470 lb-ft of available torque, the Z06 has a frightening power-to-weight ratio that easily puts it in the league of some of the most established names in the super-car world.

This limited edition is a tribute to Fellows' long association with the brand. An accomplished road racer, Ron Fellows is inextricably woven into the Corvette Racing team's success. He helped test and develop the first Corvette C5.R race car and recorded the team's first win in 2000. Fellows also grabbed the ALMS GT1 class championship in 2002, 2003, and 2004. In 2005, he finished runner-up in the GT1 class. He is tied for most career ALMS wins with 24 victories and his reputation can be gauged by being voted the most popular driver by ALMS fans in 2004 and 2005.
