Arabs need $345bn for energy

The Arab world needs capital investment of around $345bn in its energy sector from 2007-2011, according to an Apicorp review reported in Gulf Times. This is 57% up on Apicorp's earlier estimate of $220bn for 2006-2010. Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Libya are mainly responsible for rise as their combined investment requirements have increased more than 80%.
