Cooperation between the two companies has begun two years ago before the launching of the new company.
The establishment of ORYX Technologies that is equally owned by the two companies was announced during a ceremony attended by Jordanian ambassador to Bahrain, Husayn al-Majali, who commented on this project by saying: 'The strong relations between Jordan and Bahrain should not only be restricted to the governments, but should involve the people too. He added that this joint venture is the beginning of further joint ventures in this field. The Jordanian ambassador added that the economy is the factor that binds people and the European Union is a living example of it. Most of the European countries, he continued, are bound by an economic unity despite all the differences among them.'
The aim of establishing this joint venture is to boost the economic informatics in Bahrain and merge the Jordanian and Bahraini skills to create an exclusive software development industry in Bahrain which is still in its initial stages
The company employs some 100 employees from both countries. It will benefit from the skills in both Bahrain and Jordan and will seek other skills in the field of programming to produce programs in Jordan that will be sent to Bahrain and vice versa. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Mohab Murrar Founder and CEO of the Jordanian BEAT company will assume the post of vice chairman of the board of directors of ORYX Technologies.
Commenting on this Jordanian-Bahraini partnership Mr. Murrar said: 'I would like to say that ORYX is a new venture that stems from the merger of two companies from both Jordan and Bahrain which adopts the best practical skills and comprises a number of skilled and experienced personnel. Four years of hard experience by BEAT in the local, regional and international markets, their experience in client servicing will boost ORYX's success. He added that ORYX cooperation with global companies like AUTODESK, MICROSOFT, and SOURCECODE will help it serve the Bahraini market through making programs and finding the necessary software solution programs in all fields of work and for all organizations in the public and private sectors.
