Since winning one of the two National Fixed Wireless Service (NFWS) licenses, Mena Telecom's specialist team have been working closely with leading international vendors to develop a world-class solution for delivering wireless telecommunication services.

WiMax is fourth generation (4G) wireless technology and will be used to provide a range of fixed and nomadic telecommunications services, including broadband and telephony.

The WiMax technology will allow Mena Telecom to provide wireless broadband services; fixed telephony services; broadband telephony and VoIP bundles; virtual PBX and IP Centrex solutions; Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and data networking solutions; nomadic services and other value-added services such as e-Business and multi-media services.
To ensure Mena Telecom stays in touch with the very latest developments around this technology, it has become a member of the WiMax Forum, which is an international, industry led, not-for-profit organisation. The aim of the forum is to accelerate the introduction of wireless broadband technology into the market world-wide.
