Saraya Aqaba platinum sponsor of Retail City 2007

The three-day networking event will provide a platform for retail professionals to promote their projects and services to a high net worth audience.

Through its platinum sponsorship and participation at Retail City, Saraya Aqaba will introduce "Souk Saraya", the retail component within the Saraya Aqaba project, which will be composed of an old souk, a reflection of the pedestrian Middle Eastern old city, featuring an urban styling living zones and streetscapes. The Souk will include market retail and commercial outlets, retail shops, restaurants, kid's zone, specialized shops and night spots. Additionally, Saraya Aqaba aims at capitalizing on the opportunities offered by Retail City through networking and exchanging ideas with retailers, investors, franchise networks, shopping mall management companies and financial institutions.

During conference day one, Mr. Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, General Manager of Saraya Aqaba will be showcasing the Saraya Aqaba project. "Our sponsorship and participation comes in line with our objective of placing Jordan, and specifically Aqaba on the world tourism map, as well as meeting and networking with all the investors and key businessmen in the retail business," Al-Majali stated. Additionally and during conference day two, Al-Majali will be speaking of "Developing Specialized Retail Destinations Integrated with Surrounding Residential Developments".

Situated on the northern tip of the red sea, the Saraya Aqaba project comprises of residential units, "Souk Saraya" (the retail area within the project), four five star hotels and two boutique hotels operated by the world's leaders in hospitality Jumeirah and Starwood, with the modern luxuries and splendour of a world-class resort, state-of-the-art entertainment facilities, amphitheatre, sports complex, Water Park. The project will also include a conference centre that caters for over 2,000 people and office spaces as well as a man-made lagoon that will be adding 1.5km to the beach front.
