- PRESS RELEASE
Coca Cola Middle East expands its regional advertising campaign by utilizing d1g's innovative 'Clibbat', a free online service for users to view, upload, share, and distribute video clips with friends, colleagues, and families.
"For example, d1g today serves more than 2 million clips each month, provides tens of thousands of validated users with free SMS service, unlimited e-mail, and is expected to serve 20 million page views this month. We are bundling our value added user-services into creative advertising campaigns to reach the consumer with non-intrusive targeted advertising messages. Having a strategically significant advertiser such as Coca Cola participating in our program clearly demonstrates the high value of our advertising strategies", he continues.
d1g went online in November 2006 to leverage opportunities in the high-growth media and online industry in the Arab world, as well as filling the gaps in the emerging demand for Arab social and creative online communication.
"Deewanji" is rooted from the Arab word "dewan," a place where a community can gather to socialize. A dee'wan'jee or "d1g" is someone who participates in socializing at these gatherings. As an Arabic portal, d1g.com is a medium for users to socialize and participate online by sharing their experiences with the Arab online community. d1g provides its users with a wide range of free services, including unlimited e-mail, SMS messages, clips, cartoons, galleries, chats, discussion forums, and many others.
"We are happy with Coca Cola's commitment to the region, and to better serving its consumers living in this part of the world. We are always looking for better ways to help our clients reach and serve their customers. This new innovative online medium provides advertisers with a unique online opportunity to reach and communicate with their users." says Ruba Abu-Judeh, d1g's Marketing Manager.
Since its inception, d1g's "Clibbat" service has been broadly adapted as the de-facto online clips service targeting the Middle East. With 2 million clips severed each month, d1g's clips service is the largest and fasted growing online community for digital media.
