QAPCO has already opened 16 offices around the world, to extend its marketing network including India (Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai), Pakistan (Karachi and Lahore), Bangladesh, Taiwan (Taipei), Egypt (Cairo), Syria (Damascus), the UAE (Dubai) Lebanon (Beirut) and two warehouses in Syria (Tartous) & Egypt (Al-Adabia).
QAPCO's delegation to China was chaired by Dr. Mohd Yousef Al-Mulla, General Manager. The delegation included Mr. Abdul Rahaman Abdullah, Marketing Manager, Mr. Mohd Jassim Al-Na'ama, Public Relations Manager, Mr. Naji Johar, Assistant Marketing Manager for Development and Planning, Mr. Ahmad Al-Emadi, Asst Manager for Sales, Mr. Mohd Abdul Rahman, Head of Central Lab and Technical Support, Mr. Paulo Roberto Fabert, Technical Customers Services and Mr. Amin Al-Dib, Exhibition Officer in PR Dept. Directors of QAPCO's liaision offices in China and Taiwan also joined the delegation.
Upon arrival at the function, Dr. Mohd Yousef Al-Mulla, General Manager of QAPCO has cut the ribbon, inaugurating the office in Guangzhou. Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Abdullah, Marketing Manager has delivered a welcoming speech, saying that QAPCO's products of LDPE are sold to over 4500 customers spread over 90 countries worldwide. He said that QAPCO is striving to consolidate its global marketing network through opening representation and commercial offices different parts of the world.
"Such offices will add value to QAPCO which would excel its competitors and get closer to customers, facilitate carrying out their demands faster and to their best satisfaction. This would eventually help increase the revenues and ensure the company's excellence. QAPCO boosts of its high quality products and it is striving to be the leading producer and supplier of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) in the world," he said.
On this occasion, an official reception party was held in honor of the customers, attended by representatives of QAPCO's liaison offices in China, and a number of officials, high dignitaries and businessmen were present. Dr. Al-Mulla delivered a speech saying that the establishment of such offices around the world stems from our commitment to keep up the leading competitive position in producing low density polyethylene (LDPE), best serve our customers and providing them with a high quality products.
Dr. Al-Mulla pointed out that China is one of the promising markets and that opening liaison offices in four major cities in China, that were well-chosen in a way that covers the strategic geographical areas. Guangzhou is considered as one of the important trade centers. The city has different oil and gas plants. This step comes as en extension to the successes achieved on the marketing level, and would give new horizons for constant development, and further consolidate the business relations with our customers.
Al-Mulla said that establishing such offices constitutes a golden opportunity for QAPCO to be physically present and aware of these needs and thus to finally meet its customers requirements, get familiar with the specifics of these markets as well as to boost its position among other competitors on the world market. The company also aims at reducing the costs establishing a strong base of customers and consolidating its relations with old customers as well.
"QAPCO embarks on expansion plans that instate its status not just as the leading LDPE producer in the Middle East, but as a major global player with a portfolio mix that's well diversified and balanced. Where upon conclusion of its expansion plans by 2010, QAPCO's capacity will reach to 1.3 million MT of Ethylene and 1.1 million MT of Polyethylene with total investment of 1.7 billion USD,"
Dr. Al-Mulla added.
After the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Al-Mulla met some reputable customers and listened to their views and discussed with them ways of developing and consolidating cooperation in the future.
With opening the office in Guangzhou, QAPCO also participated in CHINAPLAS 2007 exhibition. QAPCO has been participating in it for the fourth time, as it attaches great importance to this exhibition, boasting its business relations with Chinese markets for over 20 years.
CHINAPLAS is the largest trade exhibition for plastics and rubber processing industries, which has attracted a large number of individual exhibitors representing famous industrial companies working in the field of petrochemicals from China and overseas.
QAPCO's delegation held several important meetings with customers, businessmen and decision makers in petrochemicals, as well as anther meeting with the staff working in company's representative offices in Peking, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taiwan. The strategies for ensuring high quality products in China markets as well as changes and challenges in the forthcoming years were discussed.
QAPCO's stand in the exhibition has attracted the customers as well as the participants, who expressed their admiration of the stand and its attractive design. QAPCO has achieved its objects behind participating in this important function.
