Linksys announces new Wireless-N Home Router

The product includes a Wireless-N (draft 802.11n) access point, a 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch and a router, allowing users to share content and their high-speed Internet connection around the home. Equipped with the latest draft-N technology the Linksys Wireless-N Home Router is designed to deliver more speed and range throughout the home.

Wireless-N: Surf, Work and Share


Utilizing the latest Wireless-N (draft 802.11n) technology, the Wireless-N Home Router is designed to deliver speeds up to 12 times faster and up to 4 times the range of Wireless-G* when teamed up with a Wireless-N client.

Wireless-N is the next generation of wireless with advanced radio technologies that can increase speed with coverage that helps to eliminate dead spots in the wireless coverage area. The level of speed that Wireless-N offers makes it ideal for media-centric applications like sharing data, streaming video, gaming, and VoIP, even if they are used all at the same time.

The Wireless-N Home Router from Linksys is certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance for the Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMMTM) standard. The WMM technology prioritizes traffic demands from different applications and extends Wi-Fi's high quality end-user experience from data connectivity to voice, music, and video applications under a wide variety of environment and traffic conditions.
