SHOWTIME is launching a new channel, SHOWCOMEDY EXTRA on June 1st

After the successful re-launch of its channels last month, SHOWTIME customers will get their way, as the leading Pay TV network adds SHOWCOMEDY EXTRA to its portfolio on June 1st.
SHOWCOMEDY EXTRA will cater to requests from busy TV fans by airing award-winning programmes from SHOWCOMEDY two hours later. Featuring the best in new and classic comedy from the US and UK, SHOWCOMEDY EXTRA will ensure that customers throughout the different time zones in the region can catch world-class comedy at a time that suits them. The new channel will be automatically available to existing customers at no extra cost.
'Customer feedback and impact is at the center of our business decisions, appropriately we added the extra channel to increase the viewing options for our customers' said Danny Bottoms, COO of SHOWTIME.
Both of SHOWTIME'S comedy channels are home to the latest seasons of hit shows like My Name is Earl, Scrubs, The Office and Extras, all of them one full year ahead of any other channel. For talk show lovers, The Late Show with David Letterman continues to air just one day after broadcast in the US.
SHOWCOMEDY and SHOWCOMEDY EXTRA will premiere in June the new series My Boys and 10 Items or Less, exclusive to SHOWTIME. These latest comedy shows are mixed with classics like Friends, Frasier and King of Queens.
