To commemorate the occasion, Mr. Abdulla was presented with One Year Free internet on the highest inet Broadband Package available plus a branded Laptop, Wireless Router, Security Software and additional free email accounts, at a ceremony held at the Batelco Shop in Seef Mall.
With 50,000 customers using Broadband services puts Bahrain among the highest penetrated locations for broadband services in the region. Batelco launched a Broadband Package for unlimited usage with speed up to 256kbit/s, in the last quarter of 2006. The package has proven to be a huge success with thousands of new subscribers signing up in the first few months.
Additionally, for customers committing to a 12 month agreement on these three packages, Batelco will provide discounted or free wireless routers, free Internet security software and free extra e-mail accounts.
"Interest in Broadband continues to grow at an unprecedented rate with our numbers more than doubling in the past year," said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.
"We continue to invest to ensure that our Broadband services will be available to all residents of Bahrain. Batelco remains committed to providing the best quality of services and providing customers with a comprehensive range of packages," added Mr. Al Janahi.
