Malls to restrict smokers

Dubai Municipality has signed over the responsibility for enforcing smoking restrictions in shopping malls to mall management, Gulf News reported. Malls will be self-regulating, said DM Director-General Hussain Nasser Lootah. Malls will not introduce a total ban on smoking but are required to set up specially designated areas for smokers. No deadline has been set for compliance. Bahrain has banned smoking completely from its malls.
