New Financial Controller at Moevenpick Hotel Bur Dubai

Walid Dib is bringing a strong international background of tourism to the table as the new Financial Controller of the Moevenpick Hotel Bur Dubai. Born in Lebanon and raised in Canada, the 35-year-old Canadian has shown innovation and flexibility in his career to date. Studying Biochemistry in Montreal, Dib moved on to achieve a BA degree in finance specializing in tourism and hotel management. Since then Walid has remained dedicated to his profession, constantly participating in Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts training schemes in destinations like Beirut and Zurich to ensure he stays ahead of the game.

Walid started his career with the Holiday Inn group in 1997. Having gained experience as assistant Financial Controller at their Sharjah resort, Walid took on the responsibility of Financial Controller of the Downtown Dubai property, which now happens to be the Moevenpick Hotel Bur Dubai! Walid finally joined the Moevenpick group five years ago as the Director of Finance for the Moevenpick Hotel & Resort Beirut making a great impact by creating and implementing strategic plans which has helped the hotel to achieve its objectives and perform well.

At the Moevenpick Bur Dubai, Dib will be in charge of the financial department and will assist Michael Nugent in increasing the hotel's productivity beyond its already favourable levels. He is an asset to the team, and his experience coupled with his knowledge of the region is sure to be a winning combination.

Walid has moved here with his wife Rita, and two sons who are enjoying their new life in Dubai. Walid is happy to return to Dubai, a city he attributes to kick starting his career.
