Umniah launches new service for vehicle tracking

Umniah, a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain and the latest mobile operator in Jordan, launched a first-of-its-kind-service in Jordan for vehicle tracking.

The new service dubbed "Vehicle Tracking System" is an excellent way for individuals and fleet owners to monitor their cars' activities cost-efficiently by using either the internet or their mobile phones.

Vehicle tracking takes place through a device installed inside the vehicle in cooperation with Al Thuraya Digital Technologies.

Messaging Specialist - Mrs. Leila Rawashdeh said that this service is a continuation of Umniah's efforts to provide their corporate subscribers with competitive advantages.

"Using VTS will allow companies to reduce rising fleet expenses, raise fleet efficiency, reduce car and truck operating costs, reduce the time vehicles spend at unauthorized locations and most importantly help companies monitor activities of their mobile personnel via this tracking system, ," she said.

"The vehicle tracking system will also create a source of competitive advantage for companies. Especially in Jordan with its increasing number of mobile subscribers, we are making sure that all mobile subscribers benefit from this beneficial service, by offering it to all mobile subscribers in Jordan" she added.
