fdi Dubai 2007 invites Jordanian delegates from dentistry and allied industries

The organisers of fdi Annual World Dental Congress and Exhibition 2007 in Dubai, also referred to as 'fdi Dubai 2007', organised a press conference in Amman, inviting delegates from dentistry and allied industries in Jordan to the high-profile industry event to be held in Dubai, UAE between October 24 and 27, 2007.
The top-level delegation Dr Ahmed Al Banna, Member of Higher Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 'fdi Dubai 2007', Aiman Al Madani, Member of Hospitality and Media Committee, and Nada Al Qassimi, Assistant General Coordinator, Member of the Organizing Committee.
In his comments, Dr Al Banna said: "It is a matter of immense privilege for us to be here in Jordan, which is a key market for the global dental fraternity. The United Arab Emirates and Dubai, in particular, has always shared a close historical bond with Jordan, spanning many decades. The fdi Dubai 2007 delegation is currently in Jordan to extend a special invitation to the members of the dental fraternity here, including allied industries, to the Congress and exhibition."
He added: "'fdi Dubai 2007' held under the theme "The dental diversity in the land of tomorrow" will be the single largest gathering of dental professionals and key representatives of allied industries, where over 20,000 delegates are expected to converge in Dubai. With the leading lights of the global dentistry coming together for the Congress, the event is not only a proud moment for Dubai but for the entire region. We have progressed a lot in the field of dentistry across the globe and the fdi Congress plays a pivotal role in keeping us informed about these achievements.
In his comments, Dr Al Banna Added: "I am confident that the dental fraternity from Jordan will find the Congress deliberations very informative and educative."
He added: "fdi Congresses are internationally recognised events that focus on the latest scientific topics affecting the profession globally. 'fdi Dubai 2007' will be no exception and will unravel a vast array of seminars and workshops with speakers from around the world. The scientific programme will also feature speciality workshops and forums on oral health promotion, which will shed light on the latest innovation in dentistry."
He also outlined the fact that the Congress not only showcases Dubai's abilities to host specialized world-class healthcare conferences and exhibitions but also catapults the Emirate as the sought-after destination for high-profile events of such magnitude. Dr. Al Banna detailed the arrangements made for the visiting delegates vis-à-vis air and ground transportation, accommodation as well as other plans to promote the event in various cities of the region.
Also present at the press conference was Dr. Wasfi Rashdan, President of Jordan Dental Association. In his address, Dr. Rashdan said: "It is indeed a privilege to host such a high-profile delegation of 'fdi Dubai 2007' in Jordan. We are confident that our participation at the Congress and exhibition would be very beneficial and will be an ideal opportunity for us to exchange notes on the latest technological updates and best practices. We look forward to a mutually-beneficial association."
He added: "'fdi Dubai 2007' will help promote optimal oral and general health for all people, whereas the World Dental Exhibition, running parallel to the Scientific Programme, will provide a unique opportunity for Jordanian delegates to meet leading manufacturers from the international and national dental trade and industry and we look forward to our participation there."
The visit is a part of the regional tour to promote the Congress. The delegation was in India last month and will be traveling to Tehran next week.

Information Note for delegates:
'fdi Dubai 2007' has partnered with Emirates Airlines to offer 50% off published IATA air fares. The organizers have tied up with 46 hotels in Dubai to offer special rates to delegates attending the Congress. Dubai's Road Transport Authority (RTA) will run 30 VIP buses between the airport, various hotels and the convention centre to facilitate smooth transportation of the delegates. The Naturalization and Residency Department will also run a special work group to ensure visas for the participants.
