Beat the heat this summer with Dollar Rent A Car

- PRESS RELEASE
Dollar Rent a Car is urging customers in the UAE to follow these simple travel tips in order to ensure that the summer driving season brings maximum enjoyment and minimum stress.
• A roadworthy car starts with good tires and air pressure, topped-off fluids and a healthy battery - all this must be thoroughly checked before setting off on any journey.
• When it comes time to packing, be sure to load the car evenly and avoid blocking outward visibility.
• An emergency kit must be carried in a safe, secure part of your trunk or cargo area complete with jumper cables, flares, a first aid kit, basic tools (wrenches, ratchet/socket set, screwdrivers, pliers or Vise-Grips, etc.) and a jug of water.
• Keep the phone number for an emergency roadside assistance program in a convenient location.
• Avoid fatigue. The driver must get a good night's rest before spending a long time behind the wheel. If he/she is getting tired, they should pull over at a safe spot, switch on their hazard lights and rest for a few minutes.
"The timing of these tips is perfect with UAE visitor figures set to soar later this month with the start of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2007. At Dollar Rent a Car, we plan to capitalize on this influx of travelers with sizzling offers and a variety of cost-effective and reliable car rental options," said K. Mohandas, sales and marketing manager, Dollar Rent a Car.
"These summer offers are guaranteed to provide significant savings on our standard prices and along with our top tips, will hopefully give our customers some light relief over the hot summer period," he added.
Car rental deals available during the summer months include a Nissan Tiida, Toyota Corolla, Honda Accord and a Chevrolet Lumina.
For those who are keen to lease a car this summer, look no further than the 16 conveniently-located Dollar Rent a Car outlets, where customers can lease a brand new 2007 Honda Accord for a 1-year lease, or a 2-year lease or a 3-year lease.
New Dollar Rent A Car outlets are also set to open at the brand new Four Points Sheraton in Bur Dubai and Al Raha Mall in Abu Dhabi in the summer.
In addition to expansion within the UAE, Dollar also intends to appoint new franchisees in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan to meet their growth targets over the coming months.
