The event is held under the partronate of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al-Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

In the presence of Mrs. Mayssa Ahmad Dilan Al-Mazroui, Director of the Center, Mrs. Raja Easa Al-Gurg cut the ribbon, marking the opening of the Forum. It was followed by an inspection tour of its divisions where the distinguished guests were briefed on the products and manufactured goods produced by the Emirati productive families.

The organizers and exhibitors praised the efforts made by the Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Center to support Emirati families. They said that establishing such exhibitions and forums would introduce the public to the products and artifacts made by these families, as well as highlight their contribution and the contribution of Emirati woman in general regarding her participation in economic and social development. Such manufactures help develop the skills of women and girls so they can provide appropriate sources of income for themselves, they added.

Mrs. Raja Easa Al-Gurg stressed the need to find nurserymaids for these productive families, so that they could perform their work within reasonable costs, as well as develop the products made by these families in small projects. She called for the creation of new markets through which they can market these products.

Mrs. Mayssa Ahmad Dilan Al-Mazroui said that the forum is being held annually to encourage and support the Emirati productive families. She noted that the participating families are families with limited income, in addition to being involved in small projects.

While the exhibition aimed to create an effective productive society that contributes to advancing economic development in the State and to the diversification of income sources within families to meet their economic and social requirements, it is also part of its plan to encourage productive families to market their products and to support them as well to prepare them for their effective integration in the small projects sector.

The Fourth Forum for Productive Families comprises of various products such as food, household accessories, wood products, painted items on pottery, glass, ceramics, mattresses, incenses, perfumes and other products.
