High Rise Properties commences work on the Rotating Residences

The company has completed the engineering designs of the project being developed by High Rise which has appointed a contractor for enabling works.

Located at Jumeirah Village South in Dubai, the AED 250 million-project will spread over a plot area of 180,000 square feet and with a built up area of 151,000 sq.feet.

Abdul Hakim Al Tayer, chairman of High Rise Properties said "The Rotating Residence will cause a revolution in architectural engineering particularly in terms of interactive construction. High Rise Chief Executive Officer Engineer Faisal Ali Moosa said "High Rise was the first company behind the idea of rotating buildings within the UAE and the region, and was the first to launch a rotating tower, (The Rotating Residence) which is expected to be ready by the first half of 2009."

The tower has 16 floors of retail spaces at ground floor and 90 residential units, 5 of which are luxury penthouses, each unit of approx, 6000 square feet and a villa of approx, 9,800 square feet. The penthouses and villa shall individually rotate at 360 degrees with an automated system at the owner's desire clock or anti-clock wise. The villa will have an individual panoramic lift and exclusive parking.

Region's first rotating building, the Rotating Residence will also have exquisite gym and health club as well as Jacuzzi, roof gardens, and temperature- controlled swimming pools for its esteemed owners.
