Maktoob Mobile and Saudi Telecom Company partner to offer STC subscribers latest sports news via mobile alerts

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) subscribers across the Kingdom are about to get access to breaking news in the world of regional and international sport as a result of a recent agreement between STC and Maktoob Mobile the mobile content specialist division of the Maktoob Group, the owner of Maktoob.com, the largest and most popular Arabic online community in the world.

The move promises to offer sports lovers a fantastic opportunity to have complete coverage of world-class regional and international sporting events via SMS and MMS service Maktoob Mobile will be bringing coverage for all major sporting events through Sport4ever.com (www.sport4ever.com), the largest Arab online sports community in the world, which is also part of the Maktoob Group. Most significantly STC subscribers will be offered the chance to receive live score updates of important matches taking place absolutely anywhere in the world.

The SMS service that Maktoob Mobile offers to STC subscribers will include Saudi Football news, Spanish and English Football Leagues and players' news, Olympics, Football, Basketball, Handball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Swimming finals, breaking news, Egyptian league, Egyptian players' news and many others. The MMS service will offer subscribers MMS messages, delivered to their handsets via subscription. The service will cover match summaries, pictures of best moments and highlights as well as players' pictures. Both services will cover major national and international championship matches.

In order for STC subscribers to subscribe to the video service, they need to send the commands 98 for Saudi Football, 99 for regional and international Football news, 100 for local and regional and international sports news, and 101 for Egyptian Football news. Above commands should be sent to 80205.
