- PRESS RELEASE
ITIL, the IT infrastructure library, has taken an evolutionary step in the development of their best practices with the launch of their most recent version, Version 3.
Already an IT standard adopted by the UAE, ITIL continues to build upon their set of best practices for running IT organizations successfully and predictably. ITIL forges a bond between IT, management, and external customers by offering them a single language and defined channels of communication.
The launch of ITIL v3 will give service planners, service designers, business and IT leaders, IT service managers, service owners, and operational staff a chance to learn how the new version of ITIL will affect the business world and give insights into the future of best practices. It will also be an opportunity to see how governments are planning to address these changes.
"The release of ITIL v3 represents a transformation of this powerful and highly successful framework. ITIL v3 gave itself a different name to signal its mature service management focus. It is now known as ITIL Service Management Practice. Essentially, ITIL service lifecycle is presented as a logical flow from Strategy, through Design, Transition, Operation, and Improvement. The itSMF Gulf is proud to be providing leadership by hosting this event in Dubai to raise awareness, share knowledge, and accelerate adoption to support excellence in service management, said President of itSMF Gulf, Dr. Abdullah Abonamah.
This unique opportunity and the first conference in the gulf of its kind will also give guests a chance to interact with the masterminds of ITIL and leave them with the enthusiasm to take their organizations ahead.
