Ibn Battuta Mall has enjoyed a hugely successful second year since launching in 2005, with thousands of new visitors shopping at the mall each month. With a calendar of fun filled activities for all the family to be announced very soon, the world's largest themed mall expects DSS 2007 to be the most successful to date and a must-see destination for all residents and visitors during the festival from 21 June to 31 August.

Last year Ibn Battuta Mall launched a unique and historical permanent exhibition 1000 Years of Knowledge Rediscovered, which consists of 27 historical inventions, discoveries and innovations by Muslim scholars that can be seen in different locations through out the mall. The Muslim inventions aim to increase awareness on 1000 years of Muslim contribution in science and technology to modern civilisation and are the first of its kind in the world.

Colin Fenton, Mall Manager of Ibn Battuta Mall said, "We congratulate the Dubai Summer Surprises on their 10th anniversary celebrations and are proud to be named as a key sponsor for the third consecutive year. We are looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to our fantastic world-class shopping destination and revealing an exciting calendar of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Ibn Battuta Mall's uniquely themed environment truly reflects the distinctive combination of heritage and cosmopolitan lifestyle that is the very essence of Dubai."
