Agility wins SCATA award for contribution to Middle East logistics industry
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 06 - 2007 at 08:59
- PRESS RELEASE
Agility, the global provider of integrated supply chain solutions, was honored as 'Best 3PL Provider of the Year' at the first-ever Supply Chains & Transport Awards (SCATA) held recently in Dubai, UAE.
Through a three-month voting process, readers of ITP's specialist magazines - Logistics Middle East, Air Cargo Middle East & India, Sea Freight Middle East and Aviation Business - were invited to nominate companies and individuals who have made a crucial role in the development of the region's logistics industry.
Elias Monem, Agility CEO - Middle East and Africa, pointed out that winning the SCATA honors further underlined Agility's well-established presence and penetration in the international logistics industry.
"The success of our business globally is a result of our strong relationship built on trust and confidence," he said. "Agility has always demonstrated its keenness to build customer and partner satisfaction through product and service innovation and we are delighted that SCATA recognizes our philosophy."
"By taking a customer-focused approach across its entire business, Agility has shown their capabilities in mastering the challenges of managing massive volumes of logistics operations in the Middle East," commented Robeel Haq, Editor of ITP's logistics and transportation magazines. "We congratulate Agility for their outstanding efforts that truly serve as a best practice for the entire logistics community."
Agility has won The Best 3PL in the GCC award twice before - in April 2006 and March 2004, recognizing the company's extraordinary contribution to the development of third-party logistics in the region.
In November last year, the company won four major awards in the Middle East Logistics Award (MELA) event held by the UAE's Media One Group. Agility was also conferred the "Gulf Excellence Award 2006" by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry in May 2006.
