The conferences, which visited Khobar, Riyadh, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and concluded in Dubai focused on informing and training systems integrators on Intel's latest mobility platform, Intel® Centrino® processor technology, the revolutionary dual core and quad core processors. Training also covered Intel's chipset generation, Intel® vPro™ technology, Intel Virtualization technology and the new Intel® Xeon® processors.
"The ICC series is an opportunity to educate our expanding channel base in the region on the latest technologies and our shift to multi core technology across our entire product stack: desktops, servers, and mobile. We're focusing on helping define the needs of the end users and then the products that will open new avenues of revenue growth for channel members," said Nassir Nauthoa, Intel Reseller Channel Manager for the GCC.
Building on its momentum to support the growth of mobility in the channel industry, Intel showcased at the ICC events laptops based on the latest Intel® Centrino® processor technology with a host of new technologies, including faster Intel® Core™2 Duo processors, for its latest-generation used in notebook PCs for consumers and businesses.
"When we introduced Intel Centrino 4 years ago, Intel changed the computing landscape with our mobile innovations," said Nauthoa. "Now, simply said, we have improved virtually all aspects of Intel-based notebooks, the most popular and fastest growing computing market segment in the world."
One of the most innovative programs rolled out during the conferences was Intel's new online marketing program that helps qualified channel customers execute marketing campaigns more quickly and cost effectively for Intel-based technology solutions. The online marketing storefront allows select resellers to place print ads, order merchandise and services, and easily customize collateral with their company information or logo. There will also be a suite of tools to support online advertising with Google™, allowing reseller customers to go online and order ads by filing out a simple order form. Intel and Google™ will then facilitate the production and execution to simplify the process for the customer.
"We are listening to our customers who have asked for the ability to use online resources such as those offered by Google, in creative ways to help grow their business. Many resellers are small businesses that have limited resources and expertise in marketing. Intel's virtual storefront will help customers overcome this challenge and equip them with the tools to be innovative in reaching and communicating to their customers,"
added Nauthoa.
Intel's yearly channel conferences are part of the company's ongoing drive to infiltrate into more cities in the kingdom and the region and to help its channel partners ensure that remote areas have access to the latest technologies.
"We will continue to seek the help of our channel members to identify new technologies and new markets to grow the business and to bridge the gap between technology and the next billion users. It is crucial that we work together to figure out how to bring computing to the rest of the world. At Intel we believe that tailoring products for the needs of these markets is the key to driving the next wave of emerging markets growth. It is for that reason we formed an organization inside the company called Channel Platforms Group, which is chartered with understanding, defining and then delivering to the needs of emerging markets customers," concluded Nauthoa.
