The exhibition, entitled Khaleeji 18, opened May 30th under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.
The opening ceremony for the exhibit was held in the Sheikh Zayed conference and exhibition hall at the University of Ajman, in the presence of Mohammed Suaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the exhibition's organising committee.
The organising committee sent out an open invitation to the public to attend and enjoy the exhibition of images and clips, which were prepared by the press photo department at Al Bayan newspaper.
Mr. Abdullah Al Majed, Vice President of Tanmiyat Group said of the exhibition, "We consider it an honour to sponsor this exhibition, a creative and inspiring means of preserving some of the proudest moments in the UAE's sporting history for future generations to enjoy. In the midst of the region's rapid economic growth, and the modernisation that goes hand in hand with it, we are delighted to participate in any event which helps us all to keep sight of social, cultural and humanitarian issues."
The ceremony was concluded with the viewing of a documentary film narrating the history of the Gulf Cup Championship.
