InterContinental Mzaar wins two 2007 prestigious awards

For the third consecutive year, InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon Mountain Resort & Spa is distinguished with prestigious awards; the MENA Travel awards and the DEPA Middle East Hotel Award 2007.

The resort has been awarded the Gold trophy for "Best Tourism Project" in the Middle East and Africa category in the MENA Travel Awards, setting a precedent in Lebanon's mountain tourism, where international service standards join tradition & local heritage.

"We support Ecotourism also by providing economical benefits to the local community", cited General Manager Robert Zogbi.

The prestigious event took place on May 3rd 2007 in Dubai, where more than 700 top industry figures attended the Gala dinner of this challenging ceremony. Some of the hotels entries included "Best 5-Star Business/Corporate Hotel, Best 5-Star Leisure hotel, Best 5-Star New Hotel, Best Conference/Convention hotel and more.

InterContinental Mzaar also announces winning the 2nd place in the DEPA Hotel Awards for the "Middle East & North Africa Resort Property of the Year". The selection was made through live 'Interactive Voting System' and presented during a special ceremony on May 2nd, 2007 where more than 750 people from the tourism sector attended.

The two won awards represent a great pride to InterContinental Hotels Group, Lebanon and to the Owning Company. "Our victory is an important achievement and reflect the continuous devotion and dedication of our entire team," said General Manager Mr. Robert Zogbi.

He added, "We owe this great success to our guests and loyal patrons who supported the voting process of the MENA awards and of course, to our staff who demonstrated genuine mountain hospitality and professionalism by sharing an authentic InterContinental Mzaar Experience!"
