Global studios keen on filming opportunities in Dubai

International film studios and major Hollywood producers have expressed an interest in exploring opportunities with Dubai Studio City, member of TECOM Investments, because of its world class infrastructure and enabling services.
At the festival, Dubai Studio City officials held a series of meetings with senior officials of leading international production companies and major film producers.
Jamal Al Sharif, Director of Dubai Studio City, said: "Global production houses are keen to learn how they can benefit from the massive developments in Dubai for their film projects. The studios are always on the lookout for new locations which offer unique advantages.
"Dubai Studio City's world class infrastructure and Dubai's novel visual offerings will help to attract major film makers to this part of the world."
Dubai Studio City is building a cluster of companies across the film and TV production value-chain. These include production companies, support service providers offering production and post-production facilities, animation studios and services like dubbing, makeup, costume designing, stage designing and building, casting, telnet agencies as well as telecine and lab facilities.

About Dubai Studio CityLaunched in Feb, 2005, Dubai Studio City (DSC) will offer a complete technical and community infrastructure catering to the film and TV production industries. To be built on a space area of more than 20 million square feet within Dubailand, DSC aims to attract production companies and a wide range of support services, including providers for animation, dubbing, makeup, costume design, stage design and building, casting, telnet agencies, telecine, and laboratory facilities.
DSC will feature pre-built studios, sound stages, workshops, backlots and stage areas, a broadcast centre housing offices and post-production studios, and a business centre for freelancers. The cluster will also house film academies, location approval services, entertainment and retail spaces, and hotels and residential facilities to accommodate crews and casts. DSC will provide a single window for applying for production permits and visas.
