Tatweer looks to South Korea for strategic business partnerships

Leading business conglomerate Tatweer, part of Dubai Holding, has placed a strategic emphasis on South Korea to look for partners to jointly promote some of its unique world-class projects.

Tatweer will seek to leverage the UAE-South Korea Forum to be held from 7-9 June in Seoul to achieve these objectives. The event is organised by the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions Organisation Est.

Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Tatweer, said: "This is part of our efforts to build on the strategic direction set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, who led a historic delegation to South Korea recently. Tatweer is looking to Seoul to get strategic partners for its leisure, entertainment, hospitality and industrial operations."

Tatweer is not only the Golden and Conference Halls sponsor for the event, but senior executives from its member companies have been invited to speak at the Forum.

The speakers include the Abdul Wahhab Al Halabi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubailand, Aaditya Sarna, the Chief of Strategy and Business Development from Dubai Industrial City, and a Senior Sales Executive from Bawadi, the world's largest hospitality boulevard.

Concurrently, all entities will also be participating in the accompanying exhibition under the Tatweer umbrella. These members include Dubai Healthcare City, Dubailand, Dubai Industrial City, Dubai Humanitarian City, Dubai Energy, Moutamarat, Dubai Mercantile Exchange and Global Village.

Tatweer will seek to raise awareness about its operations among the South Korean decision-makers to attract potential partners and quality visitors.

South Korea is one of UAE's leading trade partners. Bilateral trade between the countries has doubled from US$7.96 billion in 2003 to US$15.82 billion in 2006.
