Dubai gold imports to rise

Gold imports into Dubai in Q2 are set to exceed those in the last quarter as strong regional demand in Saudi Arabia and Egypt has hiked trade levels, reported Reuters. The city imported 489 tonnes of the yellow metal last year and exported 274 tonnes of it. Dubai's Q1 gold imports hit 132 tonnes, up 14.8% when compared to the same period last year.
