The Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards Program honors the best retail banks every year in various categories representing innovation, service excellence and superior performance.
Receiving the awards, Mr. Sulaiman H. Al Mazroui, Chief Manager Group Affairs, stated,
"The Asian Bankers Award is a very significant milestone for the bank to achieve and it reflects the success of our innovative retail products and services that is at the heart of our entrepreneurial culture."
Mr. Pishu Ganglani, Head of Business Re-engineering, presented Emirates Bank's Quality Management Program for improving customer services and branch operations and said, "We are honored to have received this award which is in recognition of the success of 'Tafawouq' our unique customer-centric service excellence program, owned and driven completely by our people. It is their commitment and passion that we are celebrating here today."
Christin Kapfer, Project Research Head at Asian Banker said, "We are happy to say that Emirates Bank was the sole winner in this category of Best Retail Banking Branch Innovation and we are excited to welcome the Middle East to the Asian Retail Banking Community."
This is the forth award that the bank has received in 2007 since being honored with the Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum award for Financial Services in the UAE. The Bankers Middle East Life Time Achievement and The Banking Personality of the Year 2006 for HE the Chairman Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer. These accolades are a reflection of the bank's drive towards excellence and commitment to customer service.
