In his new role, Martyn will be managing transmission services, overseeing the 3.3 million AED newsroom refurbishment, introducing the station's new outside broadcast van and oversee, from design to fit-out, City 7's ultramodern new facilities at Dubai Studio City.
An engineering and project manager with 15 years experience across several roles and industries, Staniforth came to City 7 in November 2006 as a freelance business consultant, providing operations and systems support. Prior to coming to City 7, Staniforth spent six years as senior engineer and team leader at Bookham Inc.UK. Formerly Nortel Networks OC, Bookham Inc. designs, manufactures and markets optical components, modules and subsystems used in a broad range of markets.
Staniforth graduated from Brunel University, Uxbridge, in 1991 with a BSc (Hons) in Materials Science and Technology.
