This partnership falls under Virgin Megastore's VIP programme; a programme that has achieved highly successful results in the UAE, Egypt and Kuwait. The Qatari programme, has now been introduced locally exclusively through IBQ and will be the most extensive and technologically advanced so far.

"When the opportunity came about to align IBQ's brand with Virgin Megastore through a VIP loyalty programme, we saw a unique opportunity for two established brands to come together with a vision to offer customers a truly outstanding entertainment experience. The VIP loyalty programme will feature prominently within IBQ's business plans as we continue to grow further into the market" commented Michael Williams, General Manager of IBQ.

The VIP loyalty programme will be open to everyone, independent of being an IBQ customer, and work is already under way to put together what promises to be the best VIP programme launched to date. The VIP programme will include the Entertainment Card which is a unique card that will feature great discounts, access to up to date online news and releases and automatic participation in regular lucky winner draws. An IBQ kiosk is also expected to open at Virgin Megastore, where customers can sign up to access even more benefits from the VIP programme.

Nisreen Shocair, President - Middle East, of Virgin Megastore said "We believe that Qatar is a country with a vision of prosperous outlook for the future with fast growing developments and appreciation for culture; that's why we are thrilled to have opened Qatar's very first Virgin Megastore, which will undoubtedly prove to be the country's number one entertainment stop. We are even more thrilled to have teamed up with IBQ, who share our values and vision in focusing primarily on individual customer experience and relationships. We really couldn't have chosen a better bank to help us develop a loyalty program that is fun, innovative and caters in specific to Qatar's cultural growth in entertainment needs."

The IBQ and Virgin Megastore tie-up has opened up a world of exciting entertainment for the first time in Qatar. These two well established names in the worlds of banking and entertainment plan the most exciting initiatives within the VIP programme. This complements IBQ's commitment to provide customers with exciting new services through every step of their IBQ relationship.
